Job Summary:
The WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the transportation, marshalling, pre-assembly, port operations, offshore installation, and the seamless handover of WTG components to the operations and maintenance team. This role ensures all activities comply with company standards and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

- – Coordinate interface between transportation and installation service providers and turbine suppliers for equipment, tools, and marine spread mobilization.
- – Review technical documentation, including method statements, risk assessments, procedures, drawings, and plans for WTG component transportation and installation.
- – Liaise with the Marine Warranty Surveyor.
- – Manage supplier and contractor coordination during project preparation and execution phases.
- – Participate in audits and inspections of vessels and mobilization activities.
- – Manage contracts and collaborate with Contract Managers for relevant agreements.
- – Work closely with the HSE Manager and Quality Manager to ensure compliance with HSEQ requirements, leading by example.
- – Assist with local stakeholder management during construction.
- – Oversee relevant works at the pre-assembly port in collaboration with site personnel.
- – Coordinate with the Marine Warranty Surveyor to obtain Certificates of Acceptance for construction activities.
- – Communicate with Client Representatives on offshore vessels for daily progress reporting and assist with resolving contractual disputes.
- – Provide ad hoc support for onshore and offshore construction tasks.
- – Attend daily meetings with pre-assembly site, offshore construction, and project management teams.
- – Review Daily Progress Reporting logs and prepare vessel and installation performance statistics as per contracts.
- – Be available for calls during 24/7 construction activities, including weekends.
- – Expect to travel throughout the project preparation phase.
- – Assist with project close-out and handover to the Operations and Maintenance team.
- – Support technical, management, and administrative activities for the project and company portfolio as required.
- – Coordinate with the Head of Department for assurances, standards compliance, knowledge transfer, and line management.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

- – Engineering degree in Mechanical, Structural, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Construction Management.
- – Minimum of five years of experience in the energy sector, including:
- – Engineering design (structures/equipment)
- – Specification and tender document production
- – Contract negotiations (technical documentation)
- – Construction and offshore installation method statements
- – Project planning and budget estimations
- – Proven experience with EPCI Contracts negotiation and management.
- – Expertise in heavy lifting, port infrastructure, and marine operations.
- – In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relevant to offshore operations, heavy lifting, and commissioning.
- – Track record in delivering complex multi-discipline projects is preferred but not required.
- – Demonstrated ability to meet multiple targets.
- – Proactive and detail-oriented approach.
- – Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- – Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- – Strong organizational skills linked to contractual judgment and decision-making.
- – Adaptability to a rapidly changing work environment and a positive approach to change.
- – High degree of self-motivation and flexibility.
- – Team player with strong leadership capabilities.
- – Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Projects.
